The Park

Our palace is surrounded by a 50-hectare park, landscaped over the 19th and early 20th centuries. A formal French garden opens onto an English-style landscape of gentle slopes and rockery, gradually merging into a woodland laced with numerous paths. A stroll down to the lake is a highlight of any visit.

THE LAKE

ENJOY THE LAKE

The lake is home to a variety of birds, including swans and ducks, and rich in plant life such as reeds and water lilies, offering an enchanting spectacle throughout the seasons. The view is best enjoyed from the Gloriette on the island. From Spring to Fall, guests can also take boat rides on the lake.

THE ARBORETUM

KITCHEN GARDEN

FROM GARDEN TO PLATE

Our kitchen garden is one of the park’s hidden treasures, where fruits, vegetables and aromatic herbs are grown throughout the seasons. Its harvests inspire the restaurant’s menu and, whenever possible, find their way onto guests’ plates. At Károlyi Kastély, we favour local sourcing and sustainable practices.
